Il Giardin’ is a family run private business located on the foot of mount Sveti Ivan/ St. Giovanni in Veli Losinj/ Lussingrande on Losinj/ Lussino island. The terraced 3000m2 garden displays a mixture of Mediterranean crop and ornamental plants and trees like local olives, black and white figs, citruses like lemons, mandarins and pomelo, cherry trees, medlars and jujube trees.
Some are very old, some were recently planted. The ornamental plants displayed in jardinières and ceramic pottery are Mediterranean herbs and flowers like rosemary, sage, basil, lavender, oleander, bougainvilleas and many more.
Don’t expect a British lawn cut to perfection. Its a local mixture between fruit and kitchen garden with patios, lookouts and hiding places. The controlled wildness allows the meadow to host local herbs and flowers like wild fennel, sage, coriander, lilies, wild leek and many others. In the local Italian Venetian language such a garden is called Giardin’.

Villa Il Giardin
Description
Villa Il Giardin‘ with more than 200m2 offers 3 bedrooms, between 25 and 45 m2 with the option to add extra beds, generous terraces/ balconies, ensuite bathrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, dining/ living with direct pool view and access. The living area of the big bedroom has a sofa/ folding bed for two persons and can be used as a family room. A crib/ infant bed is available by request. Both extra beds and cribs will not be charged. Villa Il Giardin‘ is part of Il Giardin‘ Retreat. Il Giardin’ is a family run private business with two separate villas located on the foot of mount Sveti Ivan in Veli Losinj. In the garden we have a pool, a Boccia/ Pétanque playground, a patio with sea and Velebit mountain view, a pavilion with a ping pong table and another pavilion with a marvellous view and a barbecue facility. We offer free parking ,complimentary bicycles (city- and mountain bikes) table tennis, badminton and various other sports equipment. All rooms have sea and/ or garden view, balconies/ terraces, the kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, electric stove and oven, fridge with deep freezer, microwave etc. Board games, books, Smart TV’s and free WiFi is available. The house has a safe to deposit your valuables during your stay. The ground floor of Villa Giardin‘ and its surroundings are barrier free (accessible for wheel chairs). Il Giardin‘ is a dog friendly place. Please note that we charge and extra cleaning fee.
